Endodontics or “root canal treatment” service at TIM Dent Zivanovic is a form of treatment that involves removal of the diseased pulp, cleaning and definitive filling. Root canal treatment is completed in one or two appointments, depending on the stage of infection and the treatment plan provided by our specialist.
Upon completion of endodontic treatment in our practice, the tooth is ready for further treatment in the form of restaurative or prosthetic care in order to achieve its additional stability or complete restoration resulting in good aesthetics and above all proper function.

What types of endodontics treatment does TIM Dental Office apply?

Within our practice, we offer the following services:

  • Pulpotomies – amputation of the crown of the pulp in order to preserve the vitality of the root part. In our practice this procedure is mainly performed on young patients with permanent teeth
  • Pulpectomy – extraction of vital or inflamed pulp; complete removal of the pulp from the crown and root of the tooth
  • Apicotomy (resection) – If there is a process that cannot be treated conservatively, the patient undergoes surgical intervention to remove the apical process. After surgery, the tooth canal is definitely filled and upgraded, the function and aesthetics are restored.

When is a root canal treatment required?

TIM Dent Zivanovic endodontic treatment can help patients who have had a severely injured, cracked or broken tooth. Consequence of that state, the soft internal tissue inside the root canal of the tooth, pulp, is inflamed or infected. If left untreated, symptoms such as pain or abscess (chronic infection) of the teeth may occur.
