TIM Dent Zivanovic services in restorations and replacement of teeth with crowns, bridgets and dentures provides you the most comfortable and healthy solution
Crowns & Bridges
A dental crown restores a tooth’s shape, size, and strength. It fully encases the visible portion of your tooth or dental implant. Once placed, it’s permanently bonded and it can only be removed using special tools by professional prosthodontists. The life cycle of a crown can range up to 15 years, depending on the level of care and oral hygiene of the patient.
A crown may be a solution advised to you by our specialist in order to:
- Restore and protect a tooth that is worn out, decayed, cracked, or broken
- Protect and support a tooth after a very large filling or root canal treatment
- Cover a dental implant
- Hold a dental bridge or another prosthetic device in place
- Improve your smile by covering a misshapen or severely discolored tooth
A bridge is used to connect two or more crowns with a fixed prosthesis, thus being able to replace a missing tooth or teeth through a bridge. This is typically performed in our practice after an extraction.
1. Full ceramic crowns & bridges
At TIM Dental Office we use Zirconium Dioxide and Lithium Disilicate materials due to their biocompatibility and lack of metal components. These are materials that have made a real revolution in dentistry in the last few years due to their light refraction and transparency as the natural teeth do, and at the same time, they are sufficiently resistant to withstand the force of chewing. When used, they make the crown indistinguishable from your natural teeth. Due to their appeal, strength and stability, and high resistance to wear, these crowns provide the best solution for the majority of our patients.

2. Metal-ceramic crowns & bridges
Usually used in TIM Dent Zivanovic practice for patients that have a significant teeth damage (decay, fracture), deviation and discoloring. We apply the metal-ceramic crowns by first imprinting the remaining part of the tooth to which the crown will be put on.
When creating metal-ceramic bridges, a layer of ceramic is applied to the metal substructure that completely covers the metal to the point that is no longer visible in the mouth. The metal is used because it provides durability without compromising the great aesthetic effect achieved with a porcelain. The end result is a color that resembles the rest of your teeth plus the confidence that bridge is strongly supported.
Dentures & Partials
By matching your bite and smile, we offer a wide range of advanced dental prosthesis made of cutting-edge materials. Our goal at TIM Dent Zivanovic is to provide you the most comfortable and efficient solution. We use dentures to eliminate problems caused by missing teeth in order to improve speech or chewing problems.
Depending on the needs of our patients, please see the description of different types of dentures that we offer.
1. Complete Dentures
Total dentures are made in cases of complete lack of teeth. Denture by itself compensates functionality and aesthetics which was reduced by the loss of the teeth.
At TIM Dental Office we use two types of complete dentures: conventional and immediate. Conventional denture is made in approx 8 to 12 weeks after the teeth have been removed while immediate dentures are made in advance and placed once the teeth are removed.
Therefore, our patients have a set of temporary dentures that they can wear during the healing period.
However, bones and gums shrink over time, especially during the first few weeks following tooth removal. Therefore a disadvantage of immediate dentures is that they require more adjustments to fit properly. In general, we recommend our patients to consider immediate dentures as a temporary solution until conventional dentures are made.

2. Partial Dentures
When our patient is missing more teeth and a bridge can not be placed, we recommend partial dentures. At TIM Dent Zivanovic we provide acrylic and skeletal partial dentures to our patients.
Acrylic dentures are completely made of acrylate. These dentures are attached to the existing teeth by wire hooks. Due to the materials used and the acrylate material, these partial dentures are less durable. Therefore, it is not standard and we use them in our practice in rare cases where it is the sole solution for our patients.
Skeletal partial dentures are the default solution due to their durability, greater comfort, usage of smaller surface area of the prosthesis that relies on soft tissues. The advantage of skeletal dentures is their stability as a result of better connection to natural teeth. Also, these dentures can be attached to the crowns of the teeth. The superiority of skeletal dentures lies in their aesthetics (no visible hooks) and better transfer of chewing pressure.
3. Implant Supported Dentures
Dental implants are becoming the alternative to dentures because not every patient is a candidate for implants. At TIM Dent Zivanovic we provide implant-supported dentures that can be used to repair patient’s toothlessness allowing them to regain the functionality of upper and lower jaw and provide the desired aesthetic appeal.
Denture is connected to implants with attachments that provide excellent retention and stability but can be removed. It is a combination of dentures and implants: bases are placed into the bone, allowed to heal, and metal appliances are fixed to the gingival surface, and after the dentures are placed atop and fixed into place. This is why many of our patients call them removable bridges.
4. Flexible or Biodentaplast Dentures
These types of dentures are used on patients that have allergic reactions to different types of metals or suffer from allergies that prevent them to have metal dentures.
Biodentaplast dentures are light, flexible and our patients at TIM Dent Zivanovic informed us that they effortlessy got used to them. Also, the aesthetic is beautiful because we are able to match the color of our patients teeth.
The replacement of missing teeth has never been easier!
